Look at the proud and happy Arts University College Bournemouth (it was known as the Bournemouth Arts Institute) faces of staff and students during a year end exhibition. I was a fortunate guest at one in June 1998.

Up to 2500 aspiring young artists crossed my way in its very modern, well lit buildings. The high pitched slanted roofs greet you from the road side, which is very close to the Bournemouth university.

The students of the Collge would recommend this college to others any time.

Why?

One of main reasons for studying at this arts academy are the extensive Bournemouth beaches with their gentle climate.

Photography and film students might be more interested in the surrounding green country side, which is rich in wildlife and history.

The extreme cosmopolitan flair of the institute is another important asset for many. You will see faces from all corners of this earth in the schools enchanting cafeteria.

Address of the College at Bournemouth:

Buses from Pole and Bournemouth to Wallisdown provide good transport to the College.

Some young people reside in dorms on site. But most live in the student friendly Bournemouth, a town, which accommodates 4 million seaside tourists each year. Bournemouth or Poole B&B accommodation helps students over the first hump. Later, they may prefer digs.

Jobs for students of the College are available in many bars, cafés and restaurants in town. I a knew one person, who worked part time at the Asda Supermarket in Holdenhurst Road Bournemouth.

The subjects taught at the College are renowned for their high standards. Not only general arts courses are on offer, but also
BA (hons) arts. They are in high demand in industry and commerce.

Diplomas of this Bournemouth arts academy count as part of best of 12 similar UK art schools. Art courses are all up to the latest standards. So are the tools and working materials of the institute. Its huge library has the most advanced PCs and softwares.

Some call Bournemouth the UK fashion town because of the high levels of all subjects taught at the Bournemouth University Collage for innovative clothing design, worldwide. This applies to the fashion drawing board as well as to actual dress and costume making.

History, theoretical and practical tuition is made interesting by assignments with outings to London and other locations.

Famous ex students visit sometimes and tell about their work experiences.

Just to name a few proud celebrities of the Arts University College are:
Simon Beaufoy of the Full Monty, Wolfgang Tillmanns for his fashion shoots or the film producer Nick Love.

There are 20 art subjects to study, where illustration also stands out. Remember a good technical illustrator is needed in the auto industry, in tourism and in architecture... not forgetting illustration skills for medicine and other sciences.

Any art which is required for the Internet or general media is taught and practiced at the College.

Its tuition for speech and drama, animation, event management, photography and video for TV and cinema is therefore tops.
