Puncknowle camping is for those who want a quieter camp site.

Puncknowle camping is a welcome change from the larger sites of many mobile homes, bars, restaurants and night clubs.

Here your will find just a field,no electric hook up and just one toilet and shower block to be shared with the caravans.

The site is at DT2 9BW and can be found off the B3157 about half way between Abbotsbury and Burton Bradstock Look for a right turn as you come down the hill into Swyre signposted to Puncknowle. Follow this road for a half a mile to the village then turn left on the road signposted for Litton Cheney.

Were you to turn left at Swyre you would end up in West Bexington.

The site entrance is on the right as you exit the village on the road to Litton Cheney.Passing through the gate you will see a number of caravans on the right hand side. The reception is located in the second one along. The owner is S.A Laver-Jackson.

Opposite this caravan is the camping area which is reasonably level but does not offer electric hook up.In 2008 the charges were £8 to £10 depending on the number of people in your tent. The site reopens on 3rd April 2009.

There is one toilet shower block located in the caravan area.

This is a good base to explore the western end of the Jurassic Coast including Chesil Beach Abbotsbury, and Burton Bradstock.
