So Why Do You Like Dorset So Much?

Well for me it is the quality of life.Dorset has great beaches, beautiful countryside,a thriving arts scene, great access to London and continental Europe. That's why all my friends from London love coming down here for the weekend or for longer.I came here 7 years ago to do a university course and never left.

A recent survey by the Office of National Statistics showed that people in East Dorset have the highest chance of reaching the age of 75 in the country, with women having an 86% chance and men 78%.A fantastic endorsement of the area don't you think?

As well as top hotels, self catering cottages and B and Bs, Dorset has excellent camp sites for those of you who love the great outdoors. For the more adventurous there is offshore diving, sailing, and free climbing on the cliffs of Purbeck.

Once you decide you want to move here there is a great range of property from country cottages to urban apartments.Where? Bournemouth,Poole, Weymouth, Shaftsbury,Christchurch, Blandford Forum, Bridport, Lyme Regis, and more, the choice is yours.

The beaches are amongst the best in the country, clean and safe, so much so that it takes years to get to the top of the beach hut waiting list.

Poole boasts one of the largest natural habours in the world (though not quite as deep as Sydney Harbour-so shallow the water only comes up to your knees.)This makes it ideal for water sports such as wind and kite surfing.

Of course the county is synonymous with Thomas Hardy and his novels Jude the Obscure,The Mayor of Casterbridge and Tess of the d'Urbervilles amongst others. The places he describes will come alive for you here.

So if you want to be far from the madding crowd and really live this is place to be.There is much to show you so let's get started.
