Dorset Pubs:the best ones I know

There are some great Dorset pubs though for me they tend to be in the rural areas rather than the big towns like Bournemouth or Poole.I get to see many of them as each Sunday morning i go off
Hashing
a drinking club with a running problem. This always starts and ends from a pub.I will post a review for each one I visit.
Bankes Arms Studland
Coppleridge Inn Motcombe near Shaftesbury
Smugglers Inn Osmington Mills
Square and Compass Worth Matravers
Coventry Arms at Corfe Mullen
An excellent gastro pub, wins lots of food awards.
Langton Arms
Renovated 17th century thatched pub in Tarrant Monkton near Blandford.Free house and accommdation.
Cricketers Arms at Shroton
Free House in village off the A350 Shaftesbury to Blandford Road.
Crown Inn at Alvediston
A 15th century thatched free house with very low ceiling off the Salisbury to Shaftesbury Road.
Anchor Inn
commands a dramatic setting on the
Jurassic Coast
between Bridport and Charmouth.
The Castle Inn at West Lulworth
is very close to the famous Lulworth Cover & Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coast. The pub offers accommodation and is welcoming to dogs...and their owners too.
The Ship at Langton Matravers
is also on the Jurassic Coast though further towards Swanage than Lulworth Cove but again close to the South West Coastal Path.
Horns Inn Colehill Dorset
Pub just outside Wimborne.Turn right off road to Cranborne as you leave Wimborne.A minute or so in the car from there.
Saxon Inn Child Okeford
is a small free house in a village to the west of Blandford.Good walk up Hambledon Hill from here.
The Greyhound at Sydling St Nicholas
is another gastropub though they don't want it to be known as one. However the eating bit takes up most of the space and the food it above pub quality.
