Coventry Arms at Corfe Mullen:great food and Timothy Taylors Beer

The Coventry Arms is beyond a pub,it's a gastro pub and with the awards to prove it.

On the walls are Rosette Awards going back to 2005.They are awards well deserved. The food here is excellent evidenced by the fact there is more seating for those that eat than for those that just want to drink.

,

You can find it on the A31 at Corfe Mullen to the west of Wimborne in Dorset.Your map to guide you is here

For bookings, which are advised, given the quality of food call 01258 857284 ask for John Hugo.

The ceilings are low so mind your head.Once inside you can sit on a comfy sofa whilst you order.

Starters begin at £4.95 for the soup, mains around £15, and £5.25 for desserts. You can even now eat breakfast here, they open at 8.00am.

On a recent visit I had the tomato & basil soup which was excellent and was served on a piece of slate.By that I mean I ate the bread and butter off the slate.

The other great thing for me is that this pub serves Timothy Taylors Landlord beer which, being a Yorkshire man, is heaven for me.When I was legal to go in a pub this was my preferred beverage. To date I have not found anything to beat it.That pure Yorkshire water...

There is a nice beer garden at the back to enjoy in the summer. You can contemplate the river Frome as it rushes past.

Enjoy
