Coppleridge Inn: a pub with tennis courts.

This Inn is located in Motcombe about three miles north of Shaftesbury.From Shaftesbury follow the A350 towards Warminster and after 2 miles follow the brown signs showing the pub name to the Inn.

The Inn is a converted farm house set in 15 acres of land and even boasts two tennis courts and a large play area for children.During the summer you can sit outside on a newly built verandah which faces the tennis courts.

Part of the property is a converted barn which is ideal for weddings and other functions.At the time of my visit there was a marquee out in the courtyard so even big groups can be catered for.The big car park is therefore a plus.

In the bar the the beer is Green King and a very good selection of wines.

There are 10 rooms all with en suite bathrooms.Prices are £80 for a double and £45 for a single.You can even bring your cat or dog.

There are some great walks though the surrounding countryside or why not go up to Shaftesbury to see the famous Gold Hill?
